Educators contribute to the profession.
As a cohort we conducted a Math Fair. I created a game called “Guess the Number?” This activity can be played from grades K-3. The idea behind “Guess the Number” is to recognize numbers and be able to practice addition and subtraction of numbers up to 10. Students were able to practice mental math strategies and counting concepts.
I attended the meeting with Susan Crichton to discuss changes in the 2020 UNBC BEd program. It is valuable to know that our discussion with Susan was used to help adapt and progress the education program. As educators we need to have a growth mindset and be open to change.
Using triads during all of my practicums was a great experience because we got to reflect, share, and collaborate. It was also nice to have support from peers who were going through the same experience.
